Commission for Public Engagement and Cultural Initiatives

The Commission pursues the goal of enhancing the Department’s role within the broader social context, by promoting and supporting cultural and outreach initiatives that disseminate the results of scientific research and teaching activities, thereby strengthening the public mission and social impact of the university. In this perspective, the Commission plays a strategic role in building relationships between the university and its surrounding community, helping to consolidate the Department’s visibility and reaffirming its central position as a cultural, scientific, and educational reference point.

In particular, the Commission is responsible for planning, coordinating, and organizing activities related to the so-called “third mission,” with a specific focus on public engagement. Its tasks include the design and implementation of events, projects, and outreach pathways that foster collaboration across different scientific-disciplinary fields, encouraging dialogue, participation, and openness towards the university community, institutions, and society at large.
