Important information for undergraduates

THE APPLICATION FOR GRADUATION DOES NOT HAVE TO BE SUBMITTED TO THE STUDENT REGISTRY OFFICE.
THE PROCEDURE IS ONLINE ONLY.
IT WILL BE THE STUDENT REGISTRY'S CARE TO CONTACT THE GRADUATE ONLY IF PROCEDURAL PROBLEMS ARE ENTERED.
GRADUATION FEES ARE TO BE PAID BY THE DEADLINE (at least 30 days before) OF THE GRADUATION APPLICATION.

NEW TELEMATIC PROCEDURE for application and filing of Theses

- 4 MONTHS before the date set for graduation:

(ONLY FOR LAUREANDS ENROLLED IN MAJOR OR SPECIALIST degree courses), each student should e-mail to the student registry office segreteria.ingarc@unipr.it the "Dissertation Topic Submission" form, specifying in the subject line: Dissertation Topic Submission_surname and name.

A new telematic procedure for the submission of the application and filing of the Thesis has been implemented on the Esse3 management program: https://www.unipr.it/domanda-di-laurea


N.B. SUBSCRIPTION of receipts for payment of the diploma and tuition fee is NOT REQUIRED

If the student does not graduate on the booked date he/she is required to notify by e-mail to student registry office,at least 10 days before the graduation date, attaching an ID.

The online application should be made again always 30 days before the chosen appeal and the payment of the stamp related to the diploma amounting to 16 euros will still be considered valid.

For the renewal of the application in subsequent sessions, it will then be necessary to pay only the amount of the 16-euro tuition fee payable through PagoPA (in online mode or print payment notice).

The student is advised to make a check of the exams taken from the personal online page.

  • 10 DAYS before the date set for the graduate exam, the student should:

1) Have taken all profit exams including the foreign language proficiency test or have acquired the CFUs stipulated in the program of study;

2) Return the paper University transcript, if possessed, this should be sent by registered mail with return receipt to University of Parma

via Università 12 - 43121 Parma

3) Compulsorily upload a short summary of the thesis/work as an attachment (in PDF format).
Upload should be done within the Restricted Area > Graduation/Final Examination > Title Attainment: THESIS ALLEGATION MANAGEMENT, click 'Add New Attachment' to enter the summary of at most two pages or one double-sided page. The header of the abstract should include, in as little space as possible, all the data on the title page of the thesis;

Only for LAUREANDS (TRIENNAL and MAJOR) in "Mechanical engineering":
Undergraduates enrolled in the above courses must write the abstract using only the format downloadable at the link below. Choose the format relevant to the thesis, whether compilative or not:

4) Deposit of Theses and related attachments, a new telematics procedure for the deposit of Theses has been implemented on the ESSE3 management program

Upload the final, uneditable version of the thesis paper (in PDF/A format) for approval by the Professor Rapporteur.

Uploading should be done within the Restricted Area > Degree/Final Examination > Degree attainment using the "Proceed with thesis completion process" button.

The file must be in PDF/A format and its size must not exceed 21 Mbytes.

N.B.

Enter the final thesis paper only after uploading all required attachments.
After the "Final Thesis Confirmation" any substitutions of uploaded pdfs will not be possible.
Failure to upload the thesis will result in exclusion from the graduation discussion.
Theses must be submitted only in the manner indicated above.
On the University Portal, at the dedicated webpage, a guide explaining all the steps of the procedure is published.

Undergraduate student representatives

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR LAUREANS RECOVERING THE ROLE OF STUDENT REPRESENTATIVES ON DEPARTMENT BODIES ( DEPARTMENT COUNCIL; STUDENT PARTICIPATING COMMITTEE) AND DIA'S CDS (DEPARTMENT'S COURSE COUNCIL AND REVIEW GROUP)

Graduates who hold positions in the Department bodies and DISTI's CDS should promptly notify by email the imminent graduation of their academic qualification (indicating the date of graduation ) and the consequent disqualification from the role to the email address protocollo.disti@unipr.it

In particular following the resolution taken by the Department Council on April 14, 2021, it will be necessary to point out to their supervisor that they have held a role in the University bodies that entails a special mention in the Degree for the service offered in support of the functioning of those bodies, with notation in the diploma supplement.

Filing of the graduate thesis on the DSPACE platform

MEMBERSHIP FOR MAJOR LAUREANS ONLY: THE U.O. LIBRARIES OF SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGIES MAKES AVAILABLE THE DEPOSIT OF THE THESES ON THE DSPACE PLATFORM

In addition to depositing the dissertation on ESSE3, mandatory, from the December 2022 graduate session, in agreement with the professor supervisor, for DISTI master's degree students it is optional to deposit the dissertation also in the institutional DspaceUnipr repository for online open access consultation.
